Motorcycle Accident in Virginia Beach Leaves One Hospitalized

The incident took place at approximately 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 9, 2013, at the intersection of Virginia Beach Boulevard and 2nd Street.

According to reports, a man riding a motorcycle in the 4700 block of Virginia Beach Boulevard was struck by a car for unknown reasons. Rescue crews transported the victim to a local hospital where he was treated for injuries sustained in the crash.

The motorcyclist has been identified as Bruce Nedelka. His injuries have been described as minor and is expected to be OK. No other injuries were reported.

The identity of the other driver was not immediately made known. It is also unknown if the other driver was injured as a result of the afternoon crash.

The two-vehicle Virginia Beach motorcycle accident remains under investigation by local authorities. There is no early indication as to how the accident occurred or who was at fault. No other information was made available.
